1 范围和目的

1.1 范围

      GB/T 5959的本部分规定了用于电热（EH）和基于处理技术的电热以及物料电磁处理（EPM）的工业装置或设备的通用安全要求。

      这些要求适用于如下的工业装置或设备：

      ——直接和间接电阻加热设备；

      ——电阻伴热设备；

      ——感应加热设备；

      ——利用电磁力对材料作用的设备；

      ——电弧加热（包括埋弧加热）设备；

      ——电渣重熔设备；

      ——等离子体加热和等离子体表面处理设备；

      ——微波加热设备；

      ——介质加热设备；

      ——使用电子枪的设备；

      ——红外辐射加热设备；

      ——激光加热设备。

      注：以上清单列出了设备及其应用的典型示例，并不详尽。

      各类EH或EPM设备和装置的总体安全要求由本部分的通用要求与特定类型的装置或设备的特殊要求（指南在附录G中给出）共同规定。如果没有适用于特定装置或设备的特殊要求，则通用要求适用。

      本部分不适用于下述标准所涉范围的设备和电器：

      ——IEC 60079系列——例如，用于潜在爆炸性气氛中的设备或装置；

      ——IEC 60335系列——例如，家用、商用和类似的电器，包括室内加热；

      ——IEC 60601系列——例如，医用电气设备；

      ——IEC 60974系列——例如，弧焊设备；

      ——IEC 61010系列——例如，实验室用设备。

1.2 目的

      这些要求涉及装置或设备从设计、试运行、运行、维护、检测到退役的整个生命周期，规定了在正常运行和单一故障条件下的人身安全和环境保护要求。

      本部分以仅由专业人员或受过训练的人员操作和维护装置或设备为前提。

      本部分用来验证EH或EPM设备或装置在设计、现场验收试验、常规试验或检测中是否满足本部分的要求。

      本部分未提供型式试验的要求。

      注：本部分涉及的工业设备通常作为单一或小批量设备来生产。
